2016 Regional Training for First Responders to Sexual Assault

The Sixth Annual Regional Training for First Responders to Sexual Assault is pleased to present the 2016 theme:
 
“Sexual Assault: Impact on the Mind, Body, and Soul”.

By attending this training we will be able to strengthen victim services, through networking, increase collaboration and community amongst entities within the region.

Our desire is that this training will not only give you insight into how to be more effective in your interactions with victims, but also how to best take care of yourself, so that you will be best equipped to serve the needs of this traumatized population.

This year's keynote speaker is George Lynch CEO of Traffick 911.  He will presenting A curation of nationally recognized research and videos from leading organizations, the “Hooked: Porn’s Hold on the Brain” presentation helps young people, men and women recognize that pornography is not a victimless indulgence.  People are harmed on both sides of the screen.

Thank you for your interest and we sincerely hope that the knowledge gained during this training will help you to be a more effective provider of services for survivors as well as being better equipped to advocate on their behalf.
